Looking to Change?

my bifocalsWhat wonderful, challenging, pick an adjective type of news I had this week!  Most people would dread hearing that they need bi-focal glasses but for me, the news meant that my vision problems were not related to Multiple Sclerosis.  Relief!

Reality check when I got the new lenses my eyes hurt, I woke up with a headache, and I found myself taking off my glasses frequently.  Today is better because they adjusted the location of the reading part of the lens.  But will I get used to it?

When dealing with change, there are 4 stages.

  1. Unconsciously incompetent meaning you are doing things wrong but aren’t aware of it.
  2. Consciously incompetent meaning you know you are doing things wrong but you haven’t fixed the problem yet.
  3. Consciously competent meaning you are thinking about how you are fixing things.
  4. Unconsciously competent meaning you are doing things right without thinking.

When you decide to make a change, such as me getting my new lenses, you are actively thinking about the changes you are making.  For me, I’m consciously thinking about adjusting how my head tilts as I read or look at things around me. This mindful effort belongs in stage 3.  Our goal is to make the healthy habits part of our routine where we don’t think about them any more (stage 4).

Are you looking for help so you feel motivated to make changes that you know you should make?

4 hours after MotivateCue a diffuser with the powerful combination of citrus and mints within the Motivate essential oil blend!  This blend of oils helps promote confidence and boost energy so you can tackle the challenges of your life head-on.  Real-life story: the first time my son smelled the Motivate indirectly, he bounced like Tigger for 4 hours.  Finally, I snapped a few pictures because we were having so much fun with his natural energy.  You can see my daughter decided to join him.

Are there other emotions that you’d like to feel in addition to motivation?  Perhaps you want to find Peace so you can sleep better at night or Cheer so you can smile naturally.  If your goal is to improve a variety of emotions in your family, I’d recommend the Emotional Aromatherapy Kit because you’ll get 6 powerful blends of essential oils, a diffuser, and an account so you save 25% every time you order from doTERRA.com!
